Charlemagne was the first emperor of France, the one who consolidated an empire which did not survive his death. It is for this reason that an emperor of the NINTH century had to wield a sword worthy of him. This sword is made of steel toledano of 420º in scale 1/1 of the sword of the frankish king of 98 centimeters long. On the knob there are 2 lions recorded twisted around each other in golden tones, a symbol of strength and nobility. The handle of the weapon is surrounded by engraved rhomboid, also in gold tones. The grip of the weapon is decorated to the sides with the heads of two lions carved, and in the centre an archaic fleur-de-Lis that would later be the symbol of the French royal house.
